Christmas was good as always. Zoey seemed to enjoy it, even if wrapping paper wasn't all that interesting after the novelty of ripping the first present wore off, and it's always nice showing her off.
poisoniv13@LJ certainly enjoyed continually giving her a faux mohawk at every opportunity. I need to get more pictures when that happens. :P
One of my presents from Zane was a book on CSS, which I really wanted. Already it's helping me clean up a lot of my coding techniques and clarify things I've only guessed at before, so I think my websites will definitely benefit from it. The fun addition, however, is that I've already been able to manipulate some journal layouts because my understanding of it has improved so much - now I feel confident about monkeying around where I didn't before when I was just guessing at what bits of code should do. My LJ now has extra components (I just need to get around to filling them beyond the test text and icons, hee) and as I'm not likely to buy paid accounts for communities to create new styles on IJ, I have already been able to edit in a header in one of mine and
dani_forever's IJ RP comms. I was pretty pleased with that!
I do have a few templates to monkey with and more I want to go looking for, so I may change AR's layout even after making a header image to match its current layout. I'd really like the ability to add HTML into the sidebar of whatever layout I'm using, as I liked my Transmogrified set up on GJ, but until
squeaky adds more layouts, it'll have to wait.
I just put up a Coppermine gallery for Zoey on her website, so while the site itself isn't done beyond that, at least the gallery looks good and seems to be working well. The layout of it is wonky in Netscape on certain pages, but I don't know enough to check over the theme I downloaded, so it'll likely stay until I do.
RL (holidays) have me so behind creatively, though, so I'm looking forward to the upcoming weeks of catch up. I like being busy with writing and creating, it's a good feeling.
