Star Wars: The Clone Wars
You know what? I liked it. I went into the theatre biased by reviews that it would royally suck and I came out having enjoyed it and totally fallen in love with a character I didn't think I'd like.

I can understand where those expecting a certain something from the animation were disappointed (as the scenery was beautiful, but the character movements left something to be desired and I don't think some characters looked enough like the actors that portrayed them while others were very good translations into a drawn media, non-motionwise) and I can understand how canon purists are annoyed at it as they were with 1-3 (as there are characters and plot elements here that will need to be taken care of quite specifically before the end of the TV show run and I too was a little "ugh, really?" when I first heard about the additions).

I think the animation could have been better and I don't think it will ever be epic as 4-6 obviously are, but I think it's thoroughly enjoyable and it recaptures the humor we see in 4-6, which was something I really loved about it. I think the crucial element of my enjoyment was character dynamics, rather than animation itself or specific plot, because there was definitely good back and forth in this movie.

The Complex and Terrifying Reality of Star Wars Fandom

Star Wars Fans Hate Star Wars: Special Edition

There needs to be an HP one of these things, especially a similar part which goes "Harry Potter fans hate the mother of their obsession". Oh, and the part about entitled fans spending big bucks on their costumes, then getting pissy at small children with hand-made costumes who might win something over them. And all of it, really.
