[NaNo Day 03] final word count of the day
WORDS, AS OF MIDNIGHT: 5,157

1,000+ words I didn't think I'd get in today as my brain was very meh. So, huzzah for that. However, part of that count went to smutty things I didn't even realize I going to write in the story, so perhaps not so much huzzah. Though, as I was told, stick with it as long as I enjoy it and it was at least an enjoyable chunk of words - perhaps it evens out.

In other news, since these entries consist of nothing of substance other than me keeping track of my word count and having writer's angst, I bought cute boots yesterday (and yes, the fashion horror, they were from Wal-Mart. STILL. CUTE. ANYHOW.). It was time to tuck away the flip flops for the oncoming winter, after all. I say this, but if the weather stays as pleasant as it has been the last two days (following the Day Of Snow That Didn't Melt) they will no doubt be on my feet again.

The whole "shortest days of the year" thing really hit me hard this year, as far as the brain meh, the tiredness and the lack of will to do anything productive that isn't necessary (so things like clean and such, as parenting is mandatory/necessary). I think I can actually track back several years, creatively, and find that October/early November is my crappiest period. As I am a suck housekeeper, there's no tracking that aspect. ;)

Husband Boy and I have decided that Zoey functions on a 26 hour day, which explains why, every few weeks, she rotates entirely around the clock as far as sleep. A few hours later to bed, later to rise every 3-4 days and we eventually hit THIS point, which is 5 a.m. and her happily playing on the floor. At 18 months old, we've tried to correct this for OVER a year now and I just don't think her body is ready to give in to the idea that Earth works on 24 hour days. Clearly, she's a Bajoran baby.
